Summary
X (Twitter) Video Downloader does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking.
What the extension does
It adds a download button to posts on x.com. When you click it, the extension reads the media URL from the page you are viewing and saves the file to your Downloads folder using Chrome's download feature.
Data stored on your device
- Your settings (default quality, folder name, filename template).
- Your download history (thumbnails and metadata), which you can search, export as JSON, or clear at any time.
This data is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device. Removing the extension deletes it.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect your identity, browsing history, credentials, or the content of the posts you view.
Third parties
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
